LAGOS State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has said January 31 remains deadline for filing annual tax returns by employers.
A statement by LIRS Head of Corporate Communications, Monsurat Amasa, said businesses and employers in the state must file their income tax returns on or before January 31.
He said failure to do this would attract penalties and other sanctions as in Section 81 (2) of Personal Income Tax Act (PITA) Cap P8 LFN 2004 (as amended).
The statement reads: “For filing annual income tax returns in Lagos State, the platform is LIRS e-Tax portal: https://etax.lirs.net.’’
“… Visit https://etax.lirs.net, input company’s payer ID, password and click login. Generate bill and make payment.
Taxpayers should visit: www.lirs.gov.ng, and @lirsgovng, etaxinfo@lirs.net or call LIRS 0700CALL LIRS (0700-2255-5477).
