The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has honoured HoganHost for its contribution to student development at the Awards and Dinner Night of the Nigeria Universities Accounting Students Association, University of Calabar chapter (NUASA-UNICAL).
The yearly event, themed “The Crystal Night,” celebrated academic excellence, leadership and individuals and organisations that have supported the association and its members.
The honour was for HoganHost support to initiatives aimed at promoting student development and strengthening engagement between young people and the professional community.
NUASA-UNICAL is the umbrella body for Accounting students in the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Calabar. The association promotes academic excellence, student welfare and professional development.
Over the years, the association has organised seminars, workshops, industry summits and other programmes to expose students to the de mands of the accounting profession and the wider business environment.
The initiatives also provide opportunities for students to interact with chartered accountants, professionals, government agencies and other stakeholders in areas including auditing, taxation, finance and corporate governance.
The 2026 awards night also recognised students and members of the NUASA community for outstanding academic and leadership achievements.
The recognition of HoganHost underscored the growing role of private organisations in supporting student communities and helping to prepare young people for the transition from university to the workforce.
NUASA-UNICAL said its continued engagement with businesses and professionals would remain important to its efforts to promote leadership, unity, academic excellence and career development among its members.
