Skool media one of Africa’s leading education technology institutions, has rewarded 52 teachers with over N2.3 million at the second edition of the Digital Teachers Competition.
The competition, which is powered by Exam Padi, the new product of Edufirst.ng, and supported by the Federal Ministry of Education, initially covers the Federal Unity Colleges across South-West.
The initiative seeks to encourage the utilization of digital facilities and scaling up of digital skills, and builds on the phased digitalization of classrooms in the colleges, including the supply of Kodak Mini Smart Projectors with battery to different schools.
CEO of Skool Media, Moses Imayi, explained that the competition provides an opportunity to reawaken educators and stakeholders on the need to learn and develop adequate skills necessary to improve the quality of learning across the country.
“Digital learning has become the contemporary pedagogical focus of 21st century, and has been further accelerated due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“As a result, we recognise the need to intensively and constantly engage educators to identify solutions, while we also expose them to essentials of modern teaching methodology that can be designed for different kinds of students each passing year. We will use the feedback and recommendations from these engagements to manage subsequent editions at other zones.”
