Radio host fired after sexually suggestive comment about 17-year-old Chloe Kim

When you’re a grown man and call a 17-year-old Olympic gold medalist “a little hot piece of ass,” things likely won’t end too well for you.

Patrick Connor has lost at least one of his jobs after making that comment about American snowboarder Chloe Kim on Tuesday, when he was on “Dialed In with Dallas Braden,” a show on Barstool Radio’s SiriusXM channel.

On Wednesday, San Francisco radio station KNBR, where Connor is known as “PCon,” fired him.

KNBR program director Jeremiah Crowe told media outlets, “Be advised that Patrick Connor is no longer with Cumulus Media,” which owns the station.

KNBR is the flagship station for the San Francisco 49ers and San Francisco Giants.

Deadspin transcribed the exchange between Connor, Braden, a former MLB pitcher, and comedian Brody Stevens:

“Stevens: Me, personally, I’m on Twitter, I see Chloe Kim, I’m thinking Khloe Kardashian, Kim [Kardashian], I don’t want to deal with that. So I missed out on the whole Chloe Kim thing. But it’s a good story. She’s into it, a little kid—I’m inspired by it.

Braden: Chloe Kim, famous for riding a very different board than Kim Kardashian.

Connor: No doubt, and in fact just to keep it on that tip, her 18th birthday is April 23, and the countdown is on baby, ’cause I got my Wooderson going. “That’s what I like about them high school girls.”

Stevens: I love it P-Con, I’m right there with you.

Connor: She’s fine as hell! If she was 18, you wouldn’t be ashamed to say that she’s a little hot piece of ass. And she is. She is adorable. I’m a huge Chloe Kim fan.

Braden [laughing]: That’s it.”

Earlier Wednesday, Connor tweeted an apology, and at the time, there were reports that he had been suspended by KNBR for the rest of this week. At some point, that changed.

Kim instantly became one of the American darlings of these Winter Games with her performance and reaction in the women’s halfpipe competition. The Southern California native posted a near-perfect 98.25 score in her final run, dominating the field.
