NYSC assures Corps members of safety in the face of secession threat
The Management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has assured Corps members that it remains committed to ensuring their safety wherever they are serving in the country.
This assurance becomes necessary in view of the recent sensational remarks credited to some sectional groups.
NYSC is in constant liaison with state governments, security agencies and other relevant stakeholders with a view to ensuring that all Corps members carry out their national assignment without hindrance.
NYSC management also enjoined Corps members as well as their parents and guardians to remain calm as proactive steps are being taken to ensure their safety and general welfare are not compromised.
However, NYSC management encourages Corps members to go about their normal businesses, and advised them to, as usual; continue to be security-conscious and to report any suspicious movement to the appropriate authorities.
