NECO Postponed Common Entrance into Unity Schools Indefinitely

The National Examinations Council has announced the indefinite postponement of its 2020 National Common Entrance Examination into the 104 Federal Unity schools nationwide due to the spreading coronavirus epidemic in the country.

The council said on Tuesday that the postponement was in line with the various measures being put in place by the federal and state governments to curtail the potential spread of the coronavirus.

The council in a release urged candidates, guardians and relevant stakeholders who were preparing for the examination earlier scheduled for March 28, to wait for a new date.

The NECO Head of Information and Public Relations, Mr Azeez Sani, said, “The National Examinations Council wishes to inform all candidates, guardians and relevant stakeholders of the indefinite postponement of the 2020 NCEE into Federal Unity Colleges earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday, March 28.

“The management of NECO regrets any inconveniences the postponement might have caused candidates and other stakeholders. A new date for the examination will be communicated to candidates and other stakeholders in due course.
