Retired Disc Jockey cum singer Chukwuma Martins better known as Cmart will forever have his stars to thank the day he made the career-defining decision to quit singing and Djing to concentrate on Music Production after playing around with a music production software he found online. He discovered how notes and tones comes easy to him, his ability to put melodies together effortlessly so he retired from his Dj job at a lounge in his base in Ibadan, packed up his stuffs and head to Lagos to pitch his tent with Phyno’s in-house producer ‘Major Bangz’ who exposed him more to the technicalities involved in music production and in just few months, Cmart was already a certified beatmaker who can hold his own anywhere and ready to compete neck-to-neck with those that have been doing it before him. It didn’t take long before he was noticed by Baseline Music’s rapper Skales who wasted no time adding him to his list of in-house beatmakers and he has a few songs to his credit in the rapper’s album dropping soon.
Cmart now has quite a plethora of songs from popular faces under his belts with just a couple of years in the business, from Reminisce’s fresh offering ‘Do you feel It’’, Dancing Shoes by Dj Spicey feat Skales, Gabana feat CDQ and Pepenazi to mention a few.
