Attending a screening of Mary Queen of Scots in New York last night, the actress ditched pinching pin-heels in favor of a more comfort-driven boot that lent a fresh and unexpected polish to her ensemble.
Robbie wore a long-sleeved ivory dress by Self-Portrait, which featured a twisted neck detail, keyhole cutout, and asymmetrical slit. Instead of pairing her dress with the expected open-toe sandal, or even a metallic pump, she chose a knee-length suede boot in black, which had a chunky midi-heel that could be walked in for days (okay, maybe hours). Mixing a dressed-up outfit with more casual accessories can be tough to pull off, but with just a hint of leg peeking out above the boot, Robbie managed to make the case for coverage.
