Cardinal Foundation, an initiative of Cardinal Broadcasting, led by Chief Executive of City FM, Mrs. Doja Allen, with other stakeholders, has intensified efforts to rehabilitate Olajumoke Orisaguna, former bread seller in Lagos.
Olajumoke hit the limelight in 2016 when she photobombed a session of British rapper, Tinie Tempah, by Nigerian photographer, TY Bello.
She got endorsement deals and modeLling jobs.
Speaking on yesterday, at a news conference: “The Comeback of Olajumoke (Oni Bredi),” Allen noted that the foundation is giving Olajumoke tools and opportunities to rebuild her life, including resuming her formal education and undergoing training at City Media Academy to acquire skills in radio presentation, news production, and digital content creation.
She said on completion of training, Olajumoke will be employed at City 105.1 FM, and will launch a talk show, Kilon Shele, to air on Saturday.
“We believe in power of second chances and importance of mending broken lives. Olajumoke’s story is a testament to resilience and grace, and we are committed to restoring her dignity while inspiring others to pursue their dreams.”
Speaking at the event, Olajumoke recalled how life had treated her as she struggled financially after securing big endorsement deals. She thanked everyone who supported her and want her restored.
She said: “I thank Azuka Ogujiuba, she took me like a child, she continues to support me. I also thank TY Bello. She said I won’t go back to the bakery to sell bread. The duo have always been there for me. I am grateful. I also thank Adedoja Allen for her support, financially and all. I thank Stanbic IBTC for paying my children fees. I appreciate everyone who helped since 2016.”
Chief Executive of Mediaroom Hub, Azuka Ogujiuba, said efforts were on to lift Jumoke. She alleged that Victoria Ekong took advantage of her, and ripped her off. She pledged her commitment to ensuring that what she had lost is recovered.
