Excitement filled the air in Lagos on Wednesday, the 12th of November, as four lucky Nigerians were announced as the first set of millionaires in Globacom’s “Play Up” lottery, an exciting game that blends fun, anticipation, and the chance to win life-changing rewards.
At the prize presentation ceremony, the winners, drawn from different parts of the country, each received ₦1 million for their winning entries in the first draw of the lottery.
Among them was Engineer Edward Worgu, 48, from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, who said the win indeed came at a better time. “Initially, I didn’t believe it,” he explained. “But after speaking with a very persistent Glo customer care representative, I made the journey to the Lagos regional office. The Glo Play Up Lottery allows subscribers to turn small predictions into million-naira wins. Participants simply choose a number between 1 and 9 for a chance to win big by dialling *400# or texting their chosen number to 400. Each entry costs ₦100, and players can either subscribe daily or play on demand.
Weekly draws take place every Friday at 4 p.m. at the Glo Head Office, where winners of ₦1 million emerge. In addition, one lucky subscriber will walk away with the grand prize of ₦10 million each month. All verified winners are hosted at their nearest Glo regional office, with cash prizes credited directly to their MoneyMaster Wallet accounts.
According to Globacom, the Play Up Lottery is part of its ongoing efforts to give back to subscribers, particularly during the Yuletide season.
