AUN Tasks Matriculating Students On Integrity

The American University of Nigeria, Yola, on Monday matriculated 300 undergraduate and postgraduate students for the 2025 Fall semester.

Speaking at the ceremony, the President of the university, Prof. DeWayne Frazier, urged the new students to uphold the three core pillars of the institution — integrity, respect, and responsibility.

Frazier said, “If you have integrity, people believe whatever you do or say. If you respect people, they respect you in return, and when you handle your responsibilities well, you become the hallmark of success and development.”

He explained that AUN was established to produce world-class leaders, top managers, captains of industry, and job creators, adding that the institution offers an enabling environment for students to excel.

The president also advised the fresh students to take full advantage of the state-of-the-art facilities on campus, noting that the academic and non-academic staff were ready to support them in every way possible to ensure effective learning.

He commended members of the university community for their cooperation and assured them that AUN would continue to extend support to its host community.

Presenting the newest classes of 2027, 2029, and 2030, the Vice-President, Administration, Daniel Okereke, told the students that the world was in their hands to explore for technological and human development.

Okereke said AUN provides platforms that nurture hidden potential in students, shaping them into leaders “that the world cannot ignore and whose services are in demand by national and international industries.”
