Pharrell Williams’ Adidas Jellyfish Sneaker Finally Has a Release Date

A chunky new sneaker by way of Pharrell Williams and Adidas has been generating buzz for all of 2025, and at long last the model is set for launch.

The Pharrell x Adidas Jellyfish takes the next step forward in the long-running partnership with what is essentially a reimagining of the AdiStar Cushion. Many of the sweeping lines remain intact on the upper of the Y2K-era runner, only protruding much farther into space as TPU overlays intended to mimic gills. A hulking midsole dials up the proportions even further and has help drawn comparisons to Balenciaga’s Triple S.

Glow-in-the-dark elements dial up the flourishes, and “Virginia” text on the tongue calls out Williams’ home state in a continuation of some of his work as the creative director of Louis Vuitton.

The best look yet at the Jellyfish comes via renowned sneaker photographer Tyler Mansour, also known as “Arab Lincoln,” who posed photos of the sneaker on Thursday on Instagram.

Since Williams wore the sneaker in January during Paris Fashion Week, the Jellyfish has continually popped up in sanctioned and unsanctioned settings. The white, orange and black colorway will launch the silhouette in August, and additional variants have been seen all-black; white, black and silver, and white blue and black through leaks and a sighting on The Clipse.

When Paris Fashion Week came back around in June, Williams and Adidas held an activation giving early access to purchase in-person only. In his role at Louis Vuitton, he also debuted the Tilted, a chunky skate shoe with a few resemblances to Vans’ most iconic models.

Williams last collaborated with Adidas on an Earth-inspired variant of the $500 Adios Pro Evo 1 super shoe and a puffed-up Superstar. For the past few years, the Samba dominated their collaborative efforts.

The Pharrell x Adidas Jellyfish will release Aug. 15, likely through the Adidas Confirmed app. Pricing is set at $300. – WWD
