A social media company, GSMNS Global, said it empowers students to finance their education through content creation.
The firm focuses on assisting young Nigerians, particularly students who face challenges funding their education, by teaching them how to create and monetize content on social media platforms.
In a statement, GSMNS Global shared that it had supported hundreds of content creators, enabling them to earn money for tuition, living expenses, and other financial needs by leveraging the growing opportunities in the content creation industry.
CEO of GSMNS Global, Ijaola Samuel, stressed how the company had nurtured many creators into becoming influencers.
He said, “We consult, advise, and guide them on how to maximise their content on social media because creating content that attracts views and engagement is a challenging job.”
He added, “A good number of the creators we manage are university and polytechnic students. While I can’t give an exact number at this time, many have successfully paid their way through school and graduated. Our ultimate goal is to see content creators succeed, and we remain committed to helping them achieve that.”
Chief Operating Officer of GSMNS Global, Christian Bassey, explained how students’ creativity was being transformed into a source of income.
He stated, “We have creators from the University of Uyo, FUTO, University of Lagos, and others. By turning their creativity into income, these student creators no longer rely solely on scholarships or financial aid. We handle the complex parts, like understanding algorithms and managing monetisation tools, while they focus on their passion.”
Bassey explained the positive impact of digital content creation on reducing youth unemployment. He emphasised that the creator economy offered young people productive alternatives to traditional nine-to-five jobs, keeping them engaged and away from negative influences.
He said, “Content creation is improving society. “The likelihood of young people getting involved in criminal activities is decreasing as many are now turning their passions into profit. Social media can be more than just a platform for entertainment—it can be a powerful tool for taking charge of your finances and creating a path to a brighter future.”
