Bida Poly Lecturer Placed On Half Salary After Raping Student A lecturer of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, in Niger state has been suspended for raping a student.
The lecturer is a lecturer in the polytechnic’s Department of Public Administration, while the student was an ND1 level student also of the same department.
The lecturer was reportedly caught in the act, and has been arrested by police. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Niger State Police Command, Bala Elkana, the lecturer was going to remain in police custody untl an investigation into the matter was completed.
The polytechnic’s Public Relations Officer also confirmed the incident, adding that the lecturer was a senior official of the school, and had been placed on half-pay and suspension until the investigation was complete.
