Peter Obi Rewards Kano Tricyclist Who Returned N15m With Varsity Scholarship

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi has announced a scholarship for Auwalu Salisu, a Kano-born tricycle rider for returning N15 million to the owner.

The tricyclist reportedly returned the money forgotten in his tricycle by a Chadian who came to Kano State to buy goods in Kano in September 2023.

To reward the tricyclist, Obi announced at the ongoing LEADERSHIP awards and Conference in Abuja on Tuesday that Salisu N15 million has been awarded a scholarship to Baze University.

Baze University is owned by Obi’s presidential running mate in the 2023 Election, Datti Baba-Ahmed.

The full scholarship which was jointly announced with Baba-Ahmed is until he graduates.

The former governor of Anambra State was flanked by the Proprietor of the university and his running mate, Baba-Ahmed during the announcement.

He said Salisu’s feeding, schooling, and other needs to make his period of study conducive would be handled by the university.
