Lawmaker Gives Out Free 500 JAMB Slips

The Member Representing Somolu Federal Constituency, Ademorin Kuye, Friday distributed free JAMB slips to 500 beneficiaries of this year’s Kuye Free JAMB Forms programme.

The event, which was held at the Former Somolu Local Council site, Durosimi Street, Somolu, Lagos, had the beneficiaries and their parents in attendance, with Kuye himself and All Progressives Congress, APC (Somolu) stalwarts in attendance.

Addressing the young beneficiaries, Kuye said: “My joy would be when you all bring your admission letters as a reward for this gesture next year. The opportunity you have today, some people sought for it and never had it. So don’t take it for granted.”

As a further assistance, Kuye announced free coaching classes for all beneficiaries, which he said would kick-off from Monday this week.

He appealed to the parents to release their children for the classes so that they would not be left behind.

To the children, he said: “Passing JAMB is not easy. To cross from secondary school to university is a spiritual battle because it is a barrier you have to break to begin to roll with the big boys. All the big stars you see today like Nice, Olamide, Tony Tetuila all came out of Somolu Bariga but they went to school.”

He, therefore, urged them to shun all distractions and Premiership football in the months leading to their exams, as there will be plenty of time for them.
