The Nike self-lacing trainers from Back To The Future exist and guess who’s got a pair
The 2015 Nike Mags are here and they are amazing…
Yesterday was Back To The Future day. Which means, we’re all old.
And to celebrate this wonderful fact, the lovely people over at Nike gifted one Marty McFly, we mean, Michael. J Fox, with a very, VERY special pair of trainers.
Remember in the movie when Marty has to wear clothes to fit in with all the crazy ‘future’ people? And he quickly finds some jeans with the pockets turned out (SO 2015…), a grey and red bomber and some pretty fly hi-tops?
Well, 30 years ago, Nike collaborated with the movie makers to come up with a trainer concept that the world would only be ready for in 2015. And now that we’re here, they’re making everyone who isn’t Michael. J Fox wait until 2016 to potentially get our hands on the real, working deal.
The new Nike Mag trainer has been revealed, and unlike its 2011 version, it actually features those self-lacing laces we’ve been waiting for all our lives.
