5 First Class as Federal University Dutse Graduates 71 Students

The Federal University, Dutse (FUD) in Jigawa State held her Maiden Convocation Ceremony on Saturday, 16th January, 2016.

In his remarks at the event, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. J.D. Amin, disclosed that out of the two hundred and five students who matriculated in July 2012, 71 successfully graduated, with five of them bagging First Class Honours.

He said the others were undergoing longer programmes in the Faculty of Agriculture and in the Department of Environmental Sciences.

Amin stated that the University got NUC’s full accreditation in six out of the nine programmes, while the other three got interim accreditation.

The VC reiterated the University’s commitment to building on her laurels by forging international collaborations with other global players in both academy and industry.

High-point of the occasion was the the installation of the new Chancellor of the university, Dr. Shekarau Angyu, Masa Ibi Kuvyon II, Chairman of the Taraba State Council of Chiefs.
