2 Students of Ebonyi State University Nabbed for Murder
Two undergraduates of Ebonyi State University, EBSU namely James Okoh, 26 and Victor Uchenna Okefie, 27 have been arrested by the Enugu State Police Command for the murder of a US-based lady, Mrs. Stella Uhuo, and allegedly committed the crime on 14th November, 2015.
According to reports, the deceased was the benefactor to Okoh, a final year Sociology student, who hails from Amata in Afikpo North Local Government Area, Ebonyi State.
Okoh and his friend Okefie, conspired and murdered the victim along the busy Enugu-Abakaliki road, as they were driving her home from the Enugu airport.
The evil men dispossessed her of her belongings and hard currencies worth over N850, 000 and ran to a hotel where they squandered the cash.
Following a missing person’s complaint lodged by the deceased brother at the police station, detectives attached to Anti-Kidnapping Squad swung into action.
They promptly arrested Okoh on January 29, 2016 at his hostel at the Ebonyi State University while Okefie was traced to his parent’s house at Ajaokuta in Kogi State on January 31, 2016.
In the course of interrogation they confessed to the crime, and gave graphic details of how they connived to commit the crime.
