Update: Iniubong’s murder: Suspect Pleads Guilty

Uduak Frank Akpan, suspected killer of 26-year old job seeker Iniubong Umoren, has pleaded guilty before Justice Bennett Illaumoh of a State High Court, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Uduak Akpan, in March, invited the job seeker to his residence, Nung Ikono Ufok, Uruan local government area for a job interview where allegedly he raped, murdered and buried her in a shallow grave in his compound.

Iniubong Umoren was a graduate of University of Uyo who was awaiting her call-up for the National Youth Service Corps when she was killed.

She was buried on May 14 at her hometown, Nung Ita Ikot Obio Enin Atai in Oruk Anam local government area, Akwa Ibom State.

Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned till August 18.
