The 66th annual Grammy Awards fashion showing was a little *meh,* but there was one newcomer who stole the show without even stepping foot onto the red carpet. The best dressed at the 2024 Grammys, in my opinion, goes to Tyla, who stunned in custom Versace.
Tyla’s belly ring and asymmetrical cutout chiffon tie into the current cultural infatuation with Y2K while being reminiscent of *that* J.Lo look we all know and love. Cutouts and bodycon dresses aren’t a departure from what we’re used to seeing Tyla wearing, but she took it up ten notches with this stunner.
She wore a one-shoulder, pistachio color dress, covered with head-to-toe Swarovski. The soft green color was so beautiful and the perfect level of sheer. Netted crystals covered her arm and leg, making for overall a glam look and best-dressed-worthy look. I loved the placement of the cutouts, particularly how the panels of crystals covered each one.
For shoes, Tyla opted for a white Rene Caovilla sandal, which is personally one of my favorites to style our Cosmo cover stars in. More crystals adorned her white heels, wrapped around her ankles, and complemented the rest of her look perfectly. For jewelry, Tyla’s Maria Tash belly ring was the perfect way to complete the early-2000s-inspired look, while her YESSAYAN diamond earrings added the perfect amount of sparkle.
. She didn’t miss with glam either—her hair pinned up and makeup was ultra-glossy. I especially loved her smokey winged liner paired with a shiny lip.
The 22-year-old won her first Grammy tonight for Best African Music Performance, and based off her look tonight, we can be expecting a lot of major fashion moments from Tyla.
