As part of efforts to continuously enrich the data experience on its network, Globacom has expanded its data roaming bundles to make it possible for subscribers to be able to purchase affordable roaming bundles for use in selected networks across 40 countries.
These countries include United States, France, United Kingdom, Italy, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Ireland, Brazil, India, South Africa, among others.
Glo subscribers traveling to these destinations will have the opportunity of staying connected to their families as well as their businesses online and capture memories through photos and videos, which they can share with friends and loved ones back home.
According to Globacom, “the data bundles come in various sizes to enable the customer to have options of choice, based on need at any particular time. For N2,500, the subscriber gets 50MB of roaming data which is valid for 3 days, while for N5,000, the customer gets 125MB of roaming data valid for seven days. N10,000 gets the customer 1GB of roaming data, which is valid for 10 days. For N25,000, the customer gets a roaming data of 2.5GB valid for 30 days, while for N50,000, the customer gets a massive 6GB of roaming data, which is valid for 60 days”.
To select their preferred data roaming bundle, the company said active Glo customers will need to dial *312# and select Option 5, adding that they can dial the code to purchase a pack either in Nigeria or when they arrive at their travel destination. Roaming service, according to Globacom, is automatically activated on prepaid lines, while postpaid customers will need to activate the service before subscribing to any bundle of their choice, adding that the validity begins when the user lands in the destination country and starts browsing.
“Subscribers must connect to one of the recommended networks listed on the network’s website,” Globacom explained, adding that selecting a different network would see them being charged on Pay-As-You-Go rates as applicable.
The company noted that regular consumption messages will be sent to customers to enable them to monitor their consumption and depletion of the data bundle they purchase.
