Tems performs at Aston Martin Formula 1 unveiling

The legendary Formula One sport celebrates its 75th year and to honor the milestone, no expense was spared for the opening ceremony.

The event was held in London’s O2 Arena, with all ten F1 teams and twenty drivers in attendance. All 10 teams revealed their liveries for the upcoming campaign on the same night, celebrating F1’s 75th anniversary year together with 15,000 fans in attendance and millions more watching from around the world..

During the ceremony, all ten teams debuted their 2025 liveries for the new season.

The Grammy Award-winning singer Tems was invited to perform at Aston Martin’s 2025 Formula 1 car launch as part of the brand’s effort to blend motorsport with global pop culture. Her performance highlighted Nigeria’s growing influence in international entertainment and added an unexpected yet thrilling layer to the event. Her music, known for its depth and emotional resonance, brought a fresh and soulful twist to the high-energy world of F1.

The performance, a highlight of the evening, included a captivating rendition of “Higher,” a fan favorite from her debut EP, “For Broken Ears.”

Tems’ performance at the prestigious event was a statement of Nigeria’s growing influence in global pop culture.

Tems recently expanded her influence beyond music, joining the ownership group of the San Diego Football Club as a club partner through her company, The Leading Vibe. Furthermore, Tems achieved a historic feat, becoming the first African female artist to surpass 1 billion streams on Spotify with “Wait For U,” a chart-topping collaboration with Future and Drake.
