Tech Company’s Social Campaign To Promote Wellness, Physical Exercise

Technogym, a company that proposes physical activity as means of prevention and cure for ailments, has said said from Tuesday, users can join forces with the global fitness community to fight physical inactivity through a challenge based on MOVEs (Technogym’s unit of measure for movement).

A MOVE is Technogym’s movement unity of measure, below 500 MOVEs/day you are inactive, from 500 to 1000 you are moderately active, above 1000 you are active.

The social campaign leverages Technogym’s technology and connected ecosystem to motivate people to move more and more regularly and join their local fitness facilities and share their results with global Technogym community worldwide.

By downloading the Technogym App, users can join Let’s Move for a Better World and track their activities – no matter if outdoor, on equipment or in the daily life – and turn them into a good cause, contributing to spread benefits of movement to have healthy habits and lifestyle.

“In facilities, you can join Let’s Move for a Better World connecting to the Technogym Ecosystem, tracking your exercise, and collecting MOVEs. Upon reaching predefined targets, each facility can win Technogym products to donate to a non-profit association or educational institutions of its choice. The more active gym-members are, the more MOVEs they collect and the bigger the donation will be to the communities,” the company said.

“Let’s Move for a Better World is the result of Technogym’s forty-year commitment to promoting wellness around the world. The campaign represents an opportunity to create a more sustainable society, based on personal health, and the education of the younger generations is a fundamental starting point for the achievement of the common goal. The campaign also represents a tangible initiative to support fitness club that have always represented key partners for Technogym to spread the Wellness vision worldwide and to engage more and more people in regular exercise,” it added.
