Slum2School Africa has opened applications for its 2025 Global Volunteer Programme, offering individuals the opportunity to help provide quality education to underserved children across Africa. The deadline for application is February 16.
For over 12 years, Slum2School, a Pan-African, volunteer-driven organization, has been working to bridge the education gap by providing scholarships, building learning centres, and supporting over 700,000 children with essential skills in education, technology, entrepreneurship, and life development.
Volunteers play a vital role in the organization, contributing their expertise in various fields such as mentorship, education, fundraising, technology, communication, social work, among others. A statement by the organisation noted that volunteers will have the opportunity to make a real impact in children’s lives by helping to provide quality education and support to underserved communities.
“They will also develop valuable career skills in leadership, project management, and teamwork, gaining hands-on experience that enhances their professional growth.
“Additionally, volunteers will connect and network with like-minded changemakers from around the world, expanding their global reach and influence.
Their contributions will be recognised, with the possibility of receiving recommendations that can support their career and personal development,” it said.
The programme is open to individuals who are 18 years or older by the application deadline and are passionate about education and community development.
