Technology changes faster than ever these days, with new designs coming and going nearly seasonally. Today the world of smartphones is once again shaken up, this time around as Samsung returns with their latest creations. Today we get our first look at the new Samsung Galaxy S8 Smartphones, Samsung’s flagship design which gets some new updates and upgrades. The S8 comes in a standard and Plus editions, boasting a resolution of 2960 x 1440.
The standard edition features a 570ppi 5.8-inch screen while the Plus is outfitted with a 6.2-inch screen. The design is sharp and clean, and according to The Verge Samsung “claims it has tweaked the battery chemistry to help the batteries last longer after a year or two of use.”
The sharp new design also includes their “infinity display” which wraps around the body of the phone for a unique design. Both phones are water and dust resistant; more specifically, they’re IP68 certified meaning they can be underwater for nearly half an hour.
