President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged protesters and organizers of the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest to suspend further demonstrations and engage in dialogue.
In his address to Nigerians on Sunday, August 4, President Tinubu reiterated his commitment to democratic good governance, respect for constitutional rights, and protection of innocent citizens’ lives and properties.
The president also defended his economic policies, including the removal of fuel subsidies and the abolition of multiple foreign exchange systems, as necessary decisions to reverse decades of economic mismanagement.
“I am focused fully on delivering good governance to the people,” President Tinubu assured, acknowledging that the buck stops at his table.
The President’s address comes amid ongoing protests and calls for dialogue between the government and protesters.
