Plateau Varsity Sets to hold first Graduation Since 10 Years
Plateau State University is set to graduate its first sets of students this year after being established over 10 years ago.
According to the state governor Simon Lalong who says that he set up the university as a speaker and now that he’s back as a governor, he has to no reason not to work on ensuring that the Plateau State University will graduate its first set of students before the end of the year.
He added that till date they have accredited 17 courses and are ready for convocation that would have taken place in June but would be delayed due to challenges faced in raising funds. However they are hoping that before the end of the year, they will have their first convocation.
He says that this will tell of the passion he has for education saying that most people don’t have opportunities to attend rich schools and the only opportunity then was public schools.
“We can’t deny people the opportunity to attend public schools’’ says Lalong.
