Dr Shola Mos Shogbamimu, Yvonne Jegede (Nollywood Actress) and more were amongst the guests in attendance at the 8th Annual Women4Africa Awards and Gala night held in the heart of the City of London at the Prestigious Leonardo Hotel, St Pauls on 14th May 2022.
The show is now in its 8th year and this year was the biggest and the best. Guests flew in from all over the globe to attend.
Afrobeat Sensation Tiwa Savage received a ‘Women in Entertainment Recognition Award’ on the night and sent a thank you video as she could not attend. Nollywood Superstar Yvonne Jegede was also awarded on the night alonside Women from different sectors and some of the winners included:
Honey Ajuwon of Natwest won ‘Woman in Technology’
Shannett Thompson & Hannah Awonuga both won the ‘Judges Choice’ Award.
Feyi Adeyemi of Luxurybyfeyi won ‘Fashion Designer of the Year’
Mwai Yeboah won ‘Business Woman of the Year’
Adeola Onasanya of Credit Susisse won ‘Career Woman of the Year’
Dr Gillian Lakareber won ‘Woman in Pharma’
Lara Oyesanya won ‘Woman in Legal’
Olori Oboye-Ayayi won the ‘International Woman of the Year’ and this is just to name a few.
The night was hosted by HRH Princess Moradeun Adedoyin-Solarin who gave everyone a Royal welcome to the event.
The Red Carpet and 360 Spin machine were busy with excited guests and a full house of paparazzi photographers. The dress code for the evening was “Dress to Impress” and the guests lived up to that expectation.
Founders Sam and Tola Onigbanjo were pleased with the outcome and said “We will keep on celebrating our own and telling Africa and its amazing women’s story to the world.”
