In the last 24 hours, the whole internet has been buzzing with spectacular photos and videos of what many have already termed the Wedding of The Year, the holy matrimony between Billionaire Femi Otedola’s daughter Temi and Afrobeats Superstar and Serial Entrepreneur, Mr Eazi.
The couple, who met in 2017 and got engaged in April 2022, have been praised for blending their rich culture with a personal, unconventional style.
This wedding is not only trending in Nigeria but across Africa but globally, and the trilogy of ceremonies held on the 3 continental cities: Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland, and had an exclusive coverage and reportage in the high fashion magazine, Vogue.
The first event, a civil wedding was held on May 9 in Monaco. It was a meaningful date and location: May 9 is Eazi’s late mother’s birthday.
Two months later, the couple held a Yoruba wedding ceremony at the Otedola family home in Dubai.
In August, it was time for the grand finale: a white wedding in Iceland, which Temi describes as “our favorite place on earth.” The private, intimate church ceremony was held at the Hallgrímskirkja Church in Reykjavík, Iceland.
“With a $15 million price tag, the celebration is now the most expensive wedding in Africa’s history, blending love, culture, and global glamour on an unmatched scale.
From an intimate vow exchange in Monaco to a star-studded Yoruba engagement in Dubai and a cinematic finale in Iceland, the Otedola–Eazi wedding redefined how Africa’s wealthiest families celebrate legacy and love.” – Billionaires.Africa
The celebrations were attended by prominent figures, including Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man and Abdulsamad Isyaku Rabiu, the sixth richest man in Africa.
The official photographer of the occasion, American fine art wedding photographer, Jose Villa didn’t just create splendid photos, but he indeed created MEMORIES!
