COYALA 2024: A Gathering Of Outstanding Achievers Across Africa

Over the weekend Accra hosted amazing personalities and outstanding achievers across the continent who converged at the 4th Convergence of   Young African Leaders/ Award ‘COYALA 2024’. The theme of this intellectual and culture filled event was – ‘Energizing the next Generation of Passionate Leaders in Africa’.

 

Different speakers delivered lectures on several Global issues. There was also a panel session with Excellent Business and Political leaders who shared intellectual nuggets on how the African continent can achieve its rightful place in the world economy.

 

During his opening address, Comrade Barry Ndu Nwaihim, convener of COYALA urged African leaders to ensure they fulfill the promises they made to the people while seeking political office. He added that the happenings in Kenya where young people are asking the Government to freeze the economic pain they are going through could continue in other parts of the continent if the leaders do not wake up. He urged young people to understand that they are no longer leaders of tomorrow, rather they should know that they are now leaders of today and should be prepared to be at the forefront of the Economic and political way forward of this blessed continent.

 

Hon. Alfred Asiedu Adjei, presiding member Accra Metropolitan Assembly in his speech congratulated the organizers and hoped that more of such events would continue to happen across Africa to awaken the consciousness of young people on the ened to be Nationalistic and ready to serve at all times. He emphasized the benefits of being diligent in any assignment as the experiences gained would always be useful in years to come.

 

Dr. Griffin Nana Quabena Ikeson, CEO Griffin Homes/Ikeson Herbal told the audience how perseverance, commitment, focus and determination can make a man achieve his desired status. A builder of men, philanthropist and prolific Entrepreneur, Dr. Ikeson pledged to continuously support the organizers in fulfilling their mandate.

 

Mr. Jonathan Odartey Baddoo urged all the attendees never to keep initiating ideas and projects that would positively project the image of the continent.

Linda Ocloo, Member of parliament for Shai Osudoku, Barclay Okari, Founder Impact Industries Kenya, Mogau Seshoene Cook Book Author South Africa, Vanessa Zonmi Venture Emerald Moringa Tea Cameroun, Mr. Richard Odim, CEO Richy Exclusive Ghana Ltd, Ayalogu Benedict Chukwuemeka,CEO Benya Global Ltd, Charles Chika Onuoha, Ghana First Supporters Union (GHAFSU).

 

Organizers look forward to a more exciting event in 2025 hopefully in Kenya or Rwanda.
