
Kanyinsola Ajayi and Favour Ashe have claimed a place in the men’s 100m semi-finals at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games.
Ajayi impressively won Heat 5 in 10.02s, narrowly beating Olympics champion Lamont Marcell Jacobs who came second at 10.05s.
Ghana’s Abdul-Rasheed Saminu came third at 10.06s.
Ashe finished fourth in Heat 4 behind Jamaica’s Oblique Seville, Japan’s Abdul Hakim Sani Brown and Thailand’s Thurpool Bonboon.
He however managed to sealed his place in the semis after securing the last non-automatic spot..
The duo is making their debut at the Olympic Games.
