Osun CP Pledges to investigate mystery behind missing UNIOSUN students
The Commissioner of Police in Osun State, Mr. Fimihan Adeoye, has assured residents that the investigation on the two final year students who went missing since September 4, is still ongoing.
Adeoye who replaced Mr. Femi Oyeleye as the CP of the Osun State Police Command, made the disclosure while briefing journalists in Osogbo on Friday, October 21.
He stated that the police are working tirelessly to solve the mystery behind the disappearance of the pair identified as Samuel Eke and Robert Akinduro of the Computer Science Department of UNIOSUN.
The pair was getting set to defend their final-year projects when they reportedly went missing, Sunday Punch reports.
Adeoye said, “The fact that the case is in the court does mean that we have closed investigation of the case. A missing person is regarded to be alive until after seven years. So, we believe that they are still alive and we are working on how to find them.”
The CP also called on those with useful information pertaining to the case, to inform the police.
