NUC Commences Accreditation of CoE Azare Degree Programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has commenced has commenced the accreditation nine undergraduate programmes at the College of Education, Azare in Bauchi State in affiliation with University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).

The courses to be accredited are English, Education, Hausa, Chemistry, Physics, Islamic Studies, Agriculture and Health Education, among others.

Speaking during the exercise at the college, the leader of the NUC team, Mr. Jonathan Mari said his team was at the college to assess the level of Manpower and Facilities available before final approval is given to the college to run degree programmes.

In his reaction, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of UNIMAID, Prof. Aliyu Shugaba who represented the Vice-Chancellor said based on the information available, the college is ranked the best among other affiliated institutions. He also called on the management to maintain the standard.
