NECO Shifts Entrance Exam For ‘Gifted Pupils’

Entrance examination into the Federal Government Academy, Suleja, Niger State, has been rescheduled for June 10. The examination was earlier slated for May 13.

The academy is a training ground for gifted and talented children to help them develop their potentials in the interest of nation-building and technological development.

A statement by the Head (Information and Public Relations) of the National Examinations Council (NECO), Azeez Sani, said postponement is to enable more candidates register following a request by some stakeholders for an extension of registration.

The statement reads: “The Federal Government Academy, Suleja, is a training ground for moulding the gifted and talented children of Nigeria. It provides enormous opportunities for outstanding gifted students to develop their potentials in the interest of nation-building and technological development.

“The pupils enjoy scholarship such as tuition, external examination fees, boarding, feeding, uniform and basic textbooks. All candidates, parents, guardians and other stakeholders are therefore enjoined to take note of the new date for the examination.
