Nasarawa State University Appoints New DV-Chancellors

The Senate of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) during its last Regular meeting held has approved the appointment of two new Deputy Vice-Chancellors for the institution.

The appointees were Prof. Musa Inuwa Fodio (DVC Academic), a Professor of Accounting and Finance, who until his appointment was the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies (SPGS) and Dr. Mrs. Grace Rinret Ishaku Pennap (DVC Administration), who was the Director, School of Preliminary Studies and Associate Professor of Health Microbiology.

The duo succeeds Dr. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman and Prof. Yakubu Boyi Ngwai who were until now Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academic and Administration) respectively.

Speaking on the appointment, the Vice-Chancellor of NSUK, Prof. Muhammad Mainoma, thanked the outgoing principal officers and praised them for their hard-work, cooperation and commitment in carrying out their briefs during what he termed “an eventful” two year period.

He congratulated the new appointees and charged them to be diligent and committed to the tasking challenges ahead.

Prof. Fodio was born 57 years ago at Nasarawa town, Nasarawa State. He obtained Ph.D and M.Sc Accounting and Finance at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and B.Sc Accounting from the University of Jos. He was promoted Professor in 2015 and is richly published in national and international refereed journals.

Dr. Pennap was born 57 years ago at Langtang, Plateau State. The Associate Professor of Health Microbiology obtained her Ph.D Public Health (Microbiology), M.Sc Microbiology and B.Sc Zoology from the same prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. She also has numerous published scholarly journal papers in several local and international refereed journals.
