Stepping out of the terminal to brave the city’s frigid winds, the singer slipped a black hoodie over four face-framing, imperfect plaits that may well have been the work of a swift DIY job moments before touch down. And this isn’t the first time Madonna has sported the style: she’s been spotted with two braids and oversized shades at the airport before. Beyond the arrivals hall, she recently wore them for the MTV Video Music Awards and beneath an opulent crown at the 2018 Met Gala, proving the style’s supreme versatility.
