Anthony Joshua is tipping Anthony Crolla to take revenge on Jorge Linares when the pair meet in Saturday night’s eagerly-awaited rematch, live on Sky Sports 1.
The pair contested a cracking first encounter last September, three-weight world champion Linares producing a typically classy display to take the verdict on points.
But Crolla emerged with plenty of credit from the bout and has vowed to regain the WBA lightweight title at Manchester Arena this weekend.
IBF world champion Joshua enjoyed the first fight and thinks Crolla can emerge victorious this time around.
“First fight, phenomenal,” Joshua told Sky Sports. “Jorge Linares, phenomenal fighter. ‘Million Dollar’ Crolla, phenomenal fighter’.
“I like them but I am going with the hometown fighter. Crolla, you are doing it for all of us and I wish you the best of luck.”
Saturday’s main feature is supported by a lively undercard, which Joshua is also looking forward to watching.
“Everyone on the undercard too, I hope you shine through,” he added.
“Lawrence Okolie (who makes his pro debut), I am watching you bring that sauce!
“Have a good fight, enjoy it and I hope you get a victory.”
Watch Jorge Linares vs Anthony Crolla II and a packed undercard, live from the Manchester Arena, from 7pm, Saturday, Sky Sports 1.
