LAUTECH Students To Resume in Iseyin Campus in May

……500 Seater Lecture Theater, Auditorium, College Administrative Complex ready For Commissioning …..As LAUTECH Governing Council Visits Next Week

Relief has come the way of the people of Iseyin community and Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State as the first government-owned tertiary institution will start operation in May.

Heraldnews gathered from a close source from the University that 200 Level students of the University’s College of Agricultural Science and Renewable Natural Science will resume at the campus to commence academic activities.

Our source who made this known on Thursday, disclosed that the Provost of the College, Professor Jacob Gbemiga Adewale, led a team of the school’s management on a tour of the campus on Tuesday, adding that the LAUTECH’s Governing Council members will be visiting the campus by next week.

Among the completed projects at the administrative campus of the school along Iseyin-Okeho road are three projects at pre-handing-over stages like a 500-seater large lecture theater, a 500-seater auditorium and the college’s administrative complex.

“We are happy and I think the people of Iseyin can now be rest assured that the campus has eventually come to stay, we thank our dear Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for making this dream become a reality, Iseyin has finally broken the jinx.

“I can also tell you that the LAUTECH Governing Council will be visiting the Iseyin campus as part of their week-long council meeting and the 200 level students of the institution will resume for academic activities.

“Do not forget that the College has other sites too for research and academic purposes, as time goes, development will be experienced there as well, part of the target of His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde to speed up the commencement of the College is the construction of Iseyin-Fapote-Ogbomoso road, which motorists have started plying even before its final completion and commissioning,” our source, who preferred anonymity said.
