LASG Partners Fintech Firm To Upgrade LASRRA As Smart Card

Lagos State government is partnering financial technology firm, Verve, to upgrade Lagos State Residents Registration Agency, LASRRA, also known as LAG ID, into a smart card.

With the upgrade, residents can use their cards for identification and payment purposes.

Managing Director of Verve International, Vincent Ogbunude, said the partnership, which also involves Sterling Bank, has continued to make progress as hundreds of thousands of the LAG IDs had been distributed to residents of the state.

“LAG ID cardholders can now conveniently receive and make payments via ATMs, POS terminals, and online platforms.
