LAPO Microfinance Bank wins Microfinance Bank of Year at the 13th edition of Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards.

LAPO has won this award category for the 12th consecutive times, a reflection of the bank’s consistency, resilience, and innovations in the microfinance sub-sector.

 

Speaking at the event, Oluremi Akande, Director, Marketing & Communications, LAPO Microfinance Bank, says “LAPO has consistently won this award category, a clear recognition of our invaluable contributions and impact made through the delivery of superior financial services to the last-mile.”

 

Furthermore, Akande reiterates that LAPO MFB operates through a network of over 500 branches located in across 34 states, including the FCT. Cumulatively, it has disbursed over 1.7trn in micro loans to MSMEs. Beyond credit, it provides employment to over 6,000 Nigerian youths, provided scholarships to over 5,000 beneficiaries and remains committed to leading the advocacy for environmental and social causes in the most sustainable manner.
