Lagos State Cooperative College To Graduate 153

Lagos State Cooperative College (LASCOCO) is set to graduate 153 students at its second convocation scheduled to take place from today till Wednesday.

This was made known at a news briefing held at the college’s campus in Agege at the weekend by the Provost, Mr. Akorede Ojomu.

He reflected on the institution’s progress since its inaugural convocation in 2022, describing its evolution as a “journey marked by resilience, determination and commitment to academic excellence.”

The provost expressed gratitude to the Governor of Lagos State and Moderator of the college, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his “visionary leadership and support,” which he said had been instrumental in the institution’s growth.

He also hailed the Governing Council and workers for their dedication and hard work.

Originally established to provide short-term training for cooperatives, LASCOCO has transformed into a state-recognised higher institution, contributing to manpower development in alignment with Lagos State’s THEMES+ agenda.

Ojomu said the college recently received full accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to award National Diploma in Microfinance and Enterprise Development, as well as Cooperative Economics and Management, in addition to interim accreditation in Computer Science.
