Lagos Deputy Speaker Empowers 200 Youths With Tech Skills

The deputy speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda, has concluded plans to organise a summer boot camp for youths in Apapa Constituency 1, to empower them with digital skills.

Speaking on the programme, Meranda said the summer boot camp was designed to empower young minds with digital skills for the future.

Tagged Rt. Hon. Mojisola Lasbat Meranda Youth Summer Coding Bootcamp, the youths are expected to undergo a two-week intensive programme.

A Saturday statement issued from her office noted that the programme was powered by Mocare Meranda Charity Foundation, in partnership with the Office of the Deputy Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly.

“We are excited to announce the annual Youth Summer Coding Bootcamp. The boot camp is designed to empower our young minds and prepare them for a very bright future.

“I advise our youths not to miss this chance to learn, create, and innovate,” she said.

The first batch of the programme, designed as Batch A, will be held between August 18 and 29, 2025, while Batch B is scheduled for August 30 to September 12, 2025.

She explained that the bootcamp was designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of coding, problem-solving, and tech creativity, as well as prepare them for opportunities in the digital world.
