‘Kwaralearn’ll Enhance 2024-2025 Academic Year’

Public primary schools in Kwara State will resume for the 2024-2025 academic session on  September 17, 2024.

A statement by the government said the KwaraLEARN programme had been fully prepared to enhance the learning experience for students.

Notably, a Performance Review for School Supervisors was held on August 19 and 20, 2024, while School Inspection Officers participated in a three-week Capacity Building Session beginning August 5, 2024.”

It added that a key focus had been ensuring the availability of instructional materials, saying plans were underway to increase supplies as new students are registered.

“School Support Officers and Headteachers have been urged to complete the registration of all new pupils to ensure accurate projections for material distribution. The curriculum is also being continuously updated by UBEC and NERDC guidelines to improve learning outcomes and provide a well-rounded education,” it added.

The statement addressed the issue of out-of-school children, saying KwaraLEARN unveiled a three-week enrolment drive and back-to-school campaign on September 2, 2024. “Supported by officials from the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board, the campaign will run until September 20, 2024, aiming to boost school attendance across local government areas.
