After months of speculation, reports say Kim Kardashian is preparing to file for divorce from Kanye West.
A source tells People, “He knows that she’s done. She has had enough, and she told him that she wants some space to figure out her future.”
They continued, “He’s okay. He’s sad, but okay. He knows the inevitable will happen, and he knows that it’s coming soon,”
As recently as December 2020, the couple was facing rumors that they were living separate lives. At the time, a source told E! News “are doing their own thing” and that “they spend a lot of time apart.” The source added that the two remained “focused on the things that are important to them,” including their four children.
People echoed the earlier news, with a source telling the magazine similar information.
“Kim has work and projects that are important to her, and Kanye has his. Their lives don’t overlap much,” a source said. The magazine added that Kardashian and West “very much live separate lives.”
Kardashian and West were married in a huge, multi-day Italian ceremony back in 2014. They share four children: North, Psalm, Chicago, and Saint.
News of trouble in the Kardashian-West marriage started in early 2020 when West announced that he was running for president and revealed that Kim had considered having an abortion. Kardashian later went on to ask the public for understanding and patience in a statement about West’s mental health. A source told People that she was working to “save her marriage” and was “not happy about” West’s behavior.
