Valentine’s Day fans, I’ve got some good news and some bad news. The good new is that Kim Kardashian West, almost as if she anticipated the conversation-hearts shortage, is bringing back her three original KKW Hearts fragrances and launching three new ones.
Joining Bae, BFF, and Ride or Die are a trio of new scents in colorful, heart-shaped bottles: Baby Girl, Baddie, and Wifey. The returning fragrances and new additions were announced on the KKW Fragrance Instagram on Saturday afternoon, declaring them “the perfect gifts for Valentine’s Day” — and it’s hard to argue with that. All three of the new scents are notably floral, but it’ll be easy to pick one you love if you’re into woodsy, gourmand, or citrus elements, too.
The brand describes Baddie as a “dynamic, ultra-addictive and captivating floral fragrance,” featuring top notes of palm leaves, middle notes of wild rose, iris, and geranium, and a dry-drown of heady woods, soft musks, and golden amber. As for Baby Girl, “bright citruses and succulent fruits introduce a heart of plush, playful florals” like peony, jasmine, and muguet; it finishes with light musks, vetiver, and amber crystals.
Personally, I’m most excited to smell Wifey, which blends some of my favorite floral components with sweet ones. The top notes are yuzu, pomelo, and violet leaves, which give way to a heart of magnolia, freesia, mimosa. The dry-down gets pretty decadent with “whipped caramel and creamy musks for an intoxicating finish that sweeps you off your feet.”
All six fragrances, new and returning, will be available on kkwfragrance.com on January 31, but if you happen to be in the Costa Mesa, California, area, you can sniff before you buy at the South Coast Plaza KKW Beauty pop-up shop.
