Kebbi States gets UNICEF Education Support

The Kebbi State Government especially the ministry of education is prepared to start enjoying profitable partnership deal with the United Nation Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) to increase the standard of education in the state.

The state Commissioner for Education, Alhaji Muhammed Aliero, made this known while receiving officials of the Sokoto Zonal Office of the fund in his office.

“There is need for collaborative effort with UNICEF and other stakeholders to promote the standard of education in the state,” he said.

The commissioner also called on all stakeholders in the state to support the ministry in its quest to develop education.

The UNICEF Education Officer, Hajiya Tukur Yabo, had earlier said the visit was to seek for areas of collaboration with the state to transform education, said the statement.

Another official of the fund, Hajiya Safiya Abbullahi, called on the state government to accord priority to the education sector, stressing that UNICEF would ensure impact on the sector.
