Jay-Z and Beyoncé are happy in love, but they’re also bosses together, and Hov recently shared the secret sauce behind their perfect combination.
The 51-year-old hip-hop mogul celebrated the 18th anniversary of his 40/40 club on Saturday (Aug. 28) with a star-studded bash. While guests Lil Uzi Vert, Pusha T, J Balvin, Megan Thee Stallion, Meek Mill and Vic Mensa arrived on the blue carpet, the man of the hour revealed why he loved working with Mrs. Carter.
“She’s super detail oriented, obviously, as you can see from her work,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “She’s an incredibly hard worker, super talented, very inspiring.”
The A-list couple have been married for 13 years, and they’ve been collaborators for almost two decades. They both starred in Tiffany & Co.’s new “About Love” campaign, where the “Halo” singer dazzles with the Tiffany Diamond dangling around her neck, marking the first time the piece of jewelry has been worn in a campaign. Musically, the two first began working together on “03 Bonnie & Clyde” from his 2002 album The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse. The following year, Bey and Jay earned their first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 together with “Crazy in Love” from her debut solo album Dangerously in Love.
After embarking on two On the Run tours together in 2014 and 2018, they surprise dropped the album Everything Is Love (billed under The Carters) in June 2018. The project won best urban contemporary album at the 2019 Grammy Awards, which contributed to both legendary artist’s impressive hardware collection, as Beyoncé has 28 Grammys and Jay-Z has 23.
