Govt Trains Safety Marshals At LASUSTEC

Lagos State Government has trained officials of the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTEC) in safety.

The programme, held at the 500- seater capacity agriculture auditorium in LASUSTEC, Ikorodu campus, was organised by the management of the university, in conjunction with the Lagos State Safety Commission (LSSC).

The Director General, LSSC, Mr. Lanre Mojola, said the programme was aimed at promoting the safety and well-being of students, academic and non-academic workers and visitors.

Mojola, represented by the Director of Accounts, Mr. Alaba Talabi, said safety was everyone’s business.

Mojola said under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, a policy had been put in place, namely 4Es- Enumeration, Education, Engagement and Enforcement, which had contributed to reduction in the occurrence of avoidable incidents.

LASUSTEC Vice Chancellor Prof. Olumuyiwa Odusanya hailed the joint efforts of the university and LSSC.
