The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has appointed Former Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo as his Senior Special Assistant on Sports Development.
This was contained in a statement released Tuesday by the Special Assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, Mr Simeon Nwakaudu, Vanguard reports.
The governor has also appointed Mr Chibuzor Aholu as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Financial Matters.
Both appointments begin with immediate effect.
Yobo played his testimonial match at the Adokiye Amiesamaka Stadium Port Harcourt over the weekend after bringing down the curtain on a distinguished career that saw him become Nigeriaβs first 100-cap player.
